Delivering the course Service Robotics: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Civilian Tasks. I had the pleasure of delivering this course with two colleagues at the Pontifica Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. The course was attended by professionals, undergrad and postgrad students. We covered topics concerned with basics of control, guidance, dynamics, regulations but more importantly we placed emphasis in the practical aspects of using drones for civilian applications, for example, the data processing necessary to extract useful information for the end-user and navigation considerations to ensure high quality in the data collection.
